The elephant has been birthed: The manuscript for the follow-up to my popular novel Tuki Banjo, Superstar has been completed and is out with advance readers. If things stay on track, we hope for an autumn release.
This story is not a sequel as much as it is a flash forward to Tuki’s life twenty years after TBS ended and builds around an important theme suited for the times: forced for a second time in life to “get off the mat,” Tuki (Back in the Game) builds about the power of caring friendships to help ourselves and, in turn, help others who find themselves in a similar predicament.
As with nearly all of my stories, Tuki (Back in the Game) is a multicultural ensemble story with a happy ending. These days, more than ever, this wonderful theme seems a much needed tonic to salve the frustrations of far too many.
Will keep you updated as the book progresses toward publication. I adore Tuki — my favorite character by ten thousand miles — and I hope her story inspires people all over the world to believe in themselves and help others along the way.
Thanks for reading.
