Documentary film “No Bats” released on YouTube
Award-winning Los Angeles documentarian Madeleine Farley has released the inspiring story of the No Bats Baseball Club’s 35 years of charity benevolence as a half-hour film documentary. Titled “No Bats” (Raising millions, helping thousands), the film is set in Dyersville, Iowa at the original movie site for Kevin Costner’s acclaimed feature film “Field of Dreams.”
The half-hour film is found by visiting YouTube, searching “No Bats Baseball Club”, and selecting “documentary.”
As founder of the club in 1991, this marked the club’s 35th anniversary and transition from my leadership to the next generation, a nationwide group of civic-minded givers who will carry forward the club’s sterling legacy of goodwill through charity. “No Bats” is an official entry in this year’s Golden Isles Film Festival.
The film is terrific, as are the fine people from all walks of life featured throughout.
A half-hour of warm inspiration, ready for viewing on YouTube.
