Tuki
Back in the Game with Tweedle & Friends
Exciting news! We have reached the pre-publication stage!
Twenty years after shocking the world and paying a terribly unfair price for doing a good deed, Tuki Banjo battles problems and demons at a second stage of life. This story ushers us into her world, a predicament all too common to those of us who have found ourselves in dark corners as mortality randomly slaps us around.
As with all my stories, this one is a fun standalone read. Readers of previous novels may recognize peripheral supporting characters but Tuki (Back in the Game with Tweedle & Friends) is an engrossing page-turner all on its own. When I first developed Tuki as a character, it was as a troubled teen with little to hope for. Now, a generation later, fame and fortune have disappeared and midlife has arrived with its own set of frustrations.
These days are odd to navigate — the world seems unsettled and chaotic for Mother Earth and humans– and many are struggling to accept the noise around them, much less adjust, adapt, and pursue purposeful lives. This is Tuki’s journey: I wrote it to reflect modern times and real world struggles, but also reveal the power of perseverance, resilience, and leaning on friends once we accept that life has decided we must.
I wrote this story long-form, as a novel rather than film script, for a simple reason: Tuki’s story has so much meat on the bones she deserved it.
I am proud of this one — it is exactly the story I wanted to tell and the times seem perfect for sharing it. I will let you know when Tuki is available for ordering.
Thanks!
All the best, all the time…
