Goodbye & Good Riddance

2020 & Trump

Don’t Let the Door Hit You on the Rump

It has been difficult to keep silent these last few months as Rome burned, Nero fiddled, and Nero’s son-in-law was setting up a sketchy LLC to pack war chest cash from an “investigate election fraud” plea into the current president’s personal golden parachute.

As COVID victims overflow mortuaries, the free world most vile, disgusting, two-bit con man keeps playing the con — right up to the very end. I hope justice waves handcuffs at his crooked little hands the moment he finishes pardoning his circus tent of crooks, grabs one last Big Mac, and finally exits the scene.

Never in my lifetime did I expect to see the United State of America such a fractured mess, much less orchestrated by such an incompetent fool enabled by a school of blind, spineless jellyfish.

The United States is a land of opportunity and good will that supports each other. We are not a nation of angry racists easily intimidated by bullies spouting lies from pulpits. We are people of dignity. And kindness. And truth. We uphold the Constitution as intended, and do not bend it for personal convenience.

The USA will survive the current junk food eating clown whose only act is playing the aggrieved victim. He is a fool that history will treat according to how he has earned its judgment: lazy; criminal in intent, mind, and deed; selfish; and manipulative. He knows nothing of the collective good, nor how to navigate life any differently than what he learned as an idol worshiper of gangster lawyer Roy Cohn.

Our incoming president is an honorable man who will do his best to stitch the wounds of four years of intentional carnage. I do not envy his task. Reparations require a long, slow process.

We have a long way to go to reclaim the America I know, and miss, a nation of stir fried diversity where all cultures are brought together by our special secret sauce: dignity. As this president leaves, we have none. But we will get more. Together we will get back to where we need to go.

Let these last four years be a lesson to all of us: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Democracy worked in November, brilliantly, in a manner so thoroughly indisputable the process withheld scrutiny by the entire world.  The results were clear, a good old fashioned butt-whipping that forever brands Trump the World’s Biggest Loser.

With nothing to dispute and no more straws to grasp, all that’s left is for the Biggest Loser to grab as much OPM (Other People’s Money) as he can to help finance his massive debts while pretending it’s for a run in 2024 which will never happen.

Time will soon silence the crying babies who selfishly clamor to keep managing their parents. The Republican Party — The party has lost its way and will soon pay the price — hasn’t won the popular vote in the presidential election since 2004. Unless it decides to stand for something, instead of falling for everything, it will get waxed again four years out.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Hopefully the new year lets us corral COVID, get back outside, and find the joys of dignity, respect, and inclusion.

Best regards,

Ocean Palmer
