Three Books, One Movie in the Works

In between global Zoom seminars to help people manage their Worry Circles, I am pushing forward with three book projects and a motion picture comedy. I guess this is the upside of being somewhat sequestered in my writing room, watching hummingbirds as pandemic days slowly creep by. All three books are near completion, while the film storyboard is advancing nicely.

The projects are these:

  1. Expanding Managing the Worry Circle (How to Improve Your Life by Worrying Less) in a second edition that builds upon the first edition’s worldwide popularity. New topics will apply key lessons into context for women, the LGBTQ populace, financial pressures, job losses, and others. Front and center, of course, is the pandemic. As someone with firsthand knowledge of the worries COVID creates, hopefully the second edition will help even more people than the first.
  2. Guarding the Castle (How to Survive a Crazy Digital World) is a life skills guide that explains the impact of technology on behavior and happiness, as well as how to protect the space between your ears during today’s noise, chaotic times.
  3. Story in Business. This “how to” book explains how to structure and share a compelling story, a skill more valuable today than ever before.
  4. Movie Project, title TBD: I am actively in the development phase of an ensemble comedy set in a small mountain town that is being written in a most unusual way–long on story, rich and endearing characters, a lot of laughs, but absent of profanity.  Working together with a producer and director in Los Angeles, the project has been a lot of fun to watch take shape. While writing stories is an isolated pursuit, movies require collaborations. I will keep you updated as things progress.

Since no one is allowed to navigate life’s noise on his or her own, feel free to contact me for a Worry Circle seminar or discussion.
